Digital Valve Controller FIELDVUE™ DVC6200f Digital Valve controller is a microprocessor-based current-to-pneumatic signal communication instrument with few connections and no contact stroke feedback. The DVC6200f instrument performs three important functions:

1.The movement of the valve stem or shaft is controlled by converting the digital input signal of the process controller into a pneumatic signal that is output to the actuator.

2.Automatic calibration and configuration with the power of microprocessor technology.

Communication capabilities, providing instrumentation and valve diagnostics via the FOUNDATION™ fieldbus protocol.

3.The DVC6200f is registered by the Fieldbus Foundation and uses patented low-connection, contactless travel feedback technology. It offers an all-digital Foundation

Fieldbus open communication protocol. Once installed in the Emerson Process Management PlantWeb™ system, the meter will run continuously on board valve diagnostics. If a problem is detected, the information is automatically forwarded to the appropriate person. FISHER-DVC6200f digital valve controller technical description

Features and Benefits:

reliability

Less connection No Contact valve position feedback - A high performance, less connection feedback system eliminates physical contact between the stem and the DVC6200f. There are no worn parts, thus maximizing cycle life.

Withstand harsh environments - Field-tested DVC6200f meters feature fully packaged electronics and are resistant to vibration, high temperatures and corrosive environments. Weatherproof terminals separate field wiring connections from other areas of the meter.

property

Accurate and sensitive - The two-stage locator design responds quickly to large step changes and precisely controls small changes in set points.

Stroke Control/Pressure feedback - Valve position feedback is critical to the operation of a digital valve controller. The DVC6200f detects valve position feedback problems and automatically switches to I/P converter mode to keep the valve running

Easy to use

Enhanced security - The DVC6200f is a FOUNDATION

A fieldbus communication device that can access information anywhere in the loop. This flexibility reduces the risk of exposure to hazardous environments and makes it easy to understand the condition of valves installed in hard-to-reach locations.

Reduced debugging time - FOUNDATION fieldbus communication allows you to quickly debug loops using a variety of tools, either at the valve assembly or remotely.

Easy maintenance - The DVC6200f digital valve controller has a modular design. Important working components can be replaced without removing field wiring or pneumatic piping.

value

Hardware savings - When installed in an all-in-one control system, you can save significantly on hardware and installation costs. There is no need to use valve accessories such as limit switches and valve position transmitters because the technology is already provided as a functional block. Increased uptime - The self-diagnostic function of the DVC6200f digital valve controller allows the evaluation of valve performance and health without the need to close the valve assembly or pull it from the pipe. Improved maintenance decisions - digital communication facilitates understanding of valve condition. Fisher ValveLink™ software analyzes valve information to make the right process and asset management decisions.

Features

  • The high performance, linkage-less feedback system eliminates physical contact, which eliminates wearing on parts.

  • The fully encapsulated electronics resist the effects of vibration, temperature, and corrosive atmospheres.

  • Provides quick responsiveness to large step changes and precise control for small setpoint changes.

  • The DVC6200f is a FOUNDATION™ fieldbus communicating device, so information can be accessed anywhere along the segment. This flexibility can reduce exposure to hazardous environments and make it easier to evaluate valves in hard to reach locations.

  • Create or delete function blocks in the device to customize the device for a specific application.

  • When installed in an integrated control system, significant hardware and installation cost savings can be achieved.

  • The self-diagnostic capability provides valve performance and health evaluation.

  • Improved maintenance decisions are possible due to easy access to the condition of the valve.

  • Perform a Partial Stroke Test to detect valve failures without disrupting the process.
