Introduction:
Rosemount 1199 Remote diaphragm Level transmitter A diaphragm seal system consists of a pressure transmitter, a diaphragm seal, a filling fluid, and a direct-mounted or capillary type connection. During operation, a thin elastic diaphragm and filling fluid isolate the pressure sensitive element of the transmitter from the process medium. Capillary tubes or directly mounted flanges connect the diaphragm to the transmitter.
measurement principle:
When the Rosemount 1199 remote diaphragm level transmitter operates, the isolation diaphragm and the filling fluid on the high and low pressure sides transfer process pressure to the filling fluid, which then transfers the pressure to the sensing diaphragm in the center of the sensor. The sensing diaphragm is a tensioning elastic element whose displacement varies with the pressure applied (for a GP gauge pressure transmitter, atmospheric pressure is applied as on the low pressure side of the sensing diaphragm). AP pressure transmitter, low pressure side always maintains a reference pressure. The maximum displacement of the sensing diaphragm is 0.004 inches (0.1 mm), and the displacement is proportional to the pressure. Capacitive plates on both sides detect the position of the sensing diaphragm. The difference in capacitance between the sensing diaphragm and the capacitor plate is converted to the corresponding current, voltage or digital HART (High Speed Addressable Remote Transmitter Data Highway) output signal.
