Rosemount 2088 gauge and absolute pressure transmitters

The Rosemount 2088 is a highly reliable and accurate transmitter with a lightweight and compact design.

The 2088 calibration range can be as low as 0 to 1.5 psi (0.1 bar) or as high as 0 to 4000 psi (275.8 bar). It can also be used to measure negative pressure ranges. The measurement capabilities of the 2088 can be used reliably in almost any application.

How it works:

The isolation diaphragm transmits pressure to a polysilicon sensor, which is filled with silicone oil or inert liquid. For the gauge pressure transmitter, the reference pressure of the sensor is atmospheric pressure; For an absolute pressure transmitter, the reference pressure of the sensor is a sealed vacuum reference source. Process pressure is applied to the sensing membrane of the sensor, causing a slight deformation of the membrane. This exerts a stress on the Wheatstone bridge within the sensor, causing the Wheatstone bridge to produce strain resistance. The resistance change is measured and converted into a digital signal for processing by the microprocessor. The electronic circuitry of the 2088 pressure transmitter uses ASIC (Integrated circuit) and surface packaging technology. After receiving the digital signal of the sensor film head and the correction factor, the electronic board corrects and linearizes the signal. The output circuit of the electronic board outputs an analog signal after the digital/analog conversion. For the intelligent type, the output circuit colleagues have HART communication function, so that they can communicate with HART protocol control system or AMS device management system.
